First LPR Layout. Feedback?

Hey folks,

I'm wondering if I can get some expert feedback on my first LPR install. I have an appt building where we are having some trash dumping issues and need "proof" to have law enforcement intervention. There is only one way into this parking area, speeds will be “slow”, and area lighting is good at night.

This will be a new system, from scratch. I have many years of experience with networking, Dahua cams, and Blue Iris under other systems I have setup, but LPR is new and I’m ready for the challenge. Here is the prelim design.

• Orange – LPR, IPC-B52IR-Z12E-S2 mounted @ 20'. Cars at ~ 80' from cam.
  • I’m thinking I may be able target both ingress and egress plates??
• Green – Trash Overwatch (Observe/Recognize), IPC-B52IR-Z12E-S2 mounted @ 20'. Trash at ~ 80' from cam
• Blues – General Overwatch (Detect), IPC-T54IR-ZE mounted @ 20'.
• Management – Blue Iris

The cam heights are at 20’ for vandalism only as we are concerned we’ll have some “pull downs”. Mounting lower is possible, but we have concerns. I can extend the network to other buildings to move or add cams if needed.

That should be fine. 20 feet high for LPR and 80 feet away are ok.

I would consider still bringing the cameras lower, maybe 9'-12'? Also, do you have pictures from the respective candidate locations, day and night?
