woke up to Bi with no recording from previous day at 553 pm. I have 7 cameras and can see a live view on the layout however when I click a camera to see individually the screen goes black. Can someone guide me through the first step to find the issue and how to fix it. I did a restart and no change. I tried to delete a camera and it says trouble deleting camera.
 
No recordings from ANY of the 7 cameras?
 
Check your database and storage hard drive situation in BI settings

in BI settings storage database is the c\blueiris\db. from my limited understand it looks normal. would it help to run a data base repair. or should I look else where for the cause
 
You would have to post screenshots as it could be anything from a failed drive to you accidently changed profiles and it isn't recording.

I would first confirm the drives are active.

Then look at the top and are they green here for the arrow and shield?

boom there it is recording is good to go. thank you so much . blue iris is good I just have not learned all the buttons to push and not push. additional question on the camera camera alert ai config for the lpr what should my to confirm be if I am only interested in the plates. I was using day plate,nightplate and than changed to * do not cancel object,alpr *
 
ok thanks yes I did not have the do not cancel first letter each word capitalized. thanks changing now

From BI's built-in "Help", under "Alerts and Actions" => "Change Shield":
