Flood Lights & IPCams Don't Mix?

I always thought that a motion-activated flood light would seriously blow out the IPcam image for a while (possibly critical moments) as the auto-iris corrects. So, is there a way to make this work? I see that Dahua has this Floodlight cam, and as I mentioned I always thought these two items would be incompatible, unless the flood is intended to be on ALL the time.

If you are running color to begin with its not too bad at all. Even B&W IR adapts pretty quickly but less so than color

Dahua 5442 ASE bullet - 3400 lumen flood

B&W IR - Dahua 2231 CVI ANALOG camera - 3400 lumen flood
Its pitch black out back Moms by the dock The light you see is from the camera and the bullet camera to the right facing the dock

I also have floodlights that come on near my cameras. A lot also has to do with the camera's position in relation to the light. My cams are actually mounted above them so no issue, but I can see where if you had one directly facing a camera, you would need to be creative with IR sensitivity.
