Anyone experience this with this camera or any other camera with audio out?

I have it connected to a sturdy little portable speaker, but there is an audible high-pitched noise coming from speaker.

Is there a way I can filter this out? Or does the Foscam just not cut it's audio out cleanly when not in use, resulting in that noise always going to the speaker?

Has it always been this way or did it once work fine?

It's always been this way. It's a new setup.
could be electrical interference, could also just foscam, they aren't known to be top shelf cams. if you have output volume control make sure it's not maxed out. could be sending a dirty signal.

Well, I'm going to try buying a ground loop audio filter for 15 dollars. If there's even a slightly possibility it'll filter out this noise, it's worth it to me.
