Front Door Camera Location

Looking to deal with a specific situation. I am replacing an older analog system, and while many of the camera locations are fine, the front door with the camera in it's existing location gets us the tops of heads, not the face of the person. My idea is to use the Dahua IPC-HDBW4431F-AS wedge camera (either on the left side or on the door frame (Similar to this post: Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?)

Any suggestions are helpful.

Wedge should be fine. Might be able to mount it on the side wall instead of the door frame for a cleaner install.

It may help to show us a overall picture of the view from the doorway and how people walk up to the door. Straight path? is there coverage? streetview, sunrise/sunset location.
