Getting Home Assistant states from my Ambient weather station over to MQTT and into Blue Iris macros. Possible?

Looking to add various readings onto my camera overlays. With BIT Tools being...whacky, I am trying to figure out alternatives. I do have a Ambient weather station that sends info up to the cloud which Home Assistant pulls 15+ measurements down via API.
My thinking: send these states via MQTT to Blue Iris macros (somehow?) as was done in this IPCT shed temperature post
Unfortunately, the 'view attachment' of the Home Assistant info can not be viewed.
Folks think this would be possible? I have zero Blue Iris macro skillz!

Easy to do! I have weather station data going to my PTZ cameras through this very method! I’ll check and redo the screenshots for you tomorrow!

I am mistaken. I use blue Iris tools for the PTZ overlay. The shed overlay is through HA and MQTT. I’ll grab those and share in the morning!

Sorry, I nearly forgot about you this morning! I updated that shed temp thread with new screenshots!

My BI tools continues to work and it appears I no longer have an API specified, just my Station ID. @bp2008 could explain how it works under the hood. I'm just pleased its been so reliable!!

How very odd? I tried BIT tool s over a year ago and it would not update or refresh the weather underground stuff. Part of the reason why I wanted a local weather station for that reliability and accuracy. But you said yours works even without the API. Don't see how that's possible but I am no API specialist I do know there is a local device I can buy for $40 that can read the RF signal from the weather station itself directly into MQTT that bypasses the cloud altogether. But doing the cloud API is allowable for my purposes.
