Getting into IP cameras for the first time

I have spent hours reading here and honestly I have more questions now than I did before. I'm looking to start out with one camera and BlueIris. The camera is for my front yard. I live on a fairly busy street and it's only about 30' from my house so I'm thinking that the street lights might interfere with night vision turning on.
So should I get this one: DAHUA 2.7mm ~12mm motorized lens 2MP WDR IR Eyeball Network Camera IPC HDW5231R Z ,free DHL shipping-in Surveillance Cameras from Security & Protection on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group as it has superior night vision or should I get a more affordable one from Amazon, such as Amazon.com: Dahua IPC-HFW1320S 3MP HD Network Mini IR Bullet Security IP Camera 3.6mm Lens English Version (Updatable): Electronics .

Depends on your goal, but the Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) is the absolute best bang for the buck going.

Bullets have much more issues with spider webs. IR coverage not as good.

Sounds good. In that thread I see that there is an additional discount for IPCTalk members. Is this something I should PM EMPIRETECANDY here about? Also can someone recommend a good POE injector? I'm not quite ready to jump to a POE switch just yet.

You forgot to mention your awesome advice here about just putting in MicroSD cards in there and viewing footage via the web interface!

Great! Thanks. I emailed him but it's probably the middle of the night in China. I have a file server so I'm just going to run some software on it. So the SD card route isn't needed.
