I installed a new camera last week, and noticed on my view monitor there is a thin green bar down the bottom of one camera, what does this mean?

Sometimes it can mean a codec issue. Check to make sure you don't have the + on the H264 or H265 in the camera GUI and that their is no smart codec enabled.

You the man! fixed, was on "AI Codec" on a new Dahua camera. Any idea what AI codec is? assuming it's a codec to assist in the AI detection feature?

Awesome!

AI codec puts emphasis on human and vehicle while encoding, and will increase bitrate only for human and vehicle triggers.

But what this means is it will override your bitrate and other settings. It will force it into VBR even if you have CBR set.

Most of us prefer CBR as we have seen in certain field of views that with VBR the camera doesn't ramp up fast enough and you lose the chance for the clean capture.
