Jaypes here, long time lurker of all things CCTV related. About to embark on my first install of some Hikvision cameras and Blue Iris software on a mates house after 2 'mysterious' car damaging incidents in the last 6 months - looking at DS-2CD3345-I FIRMWARE VERSION 5.3.3 from a local dude.
I have worked in the IT industry for 15 years and was a shorts an tee shirt wearing electrician, that being said I will most probably ask some noob questions here to assist in a smooth setup.
And I like to make and drink my own brand of beer.
