Hello community,

I have a problem with some 2MB cameras. These are the HDCVI cameras (coax).

After a long time (4-5 years) the images appear with a flicker. The flickering always gets worse over time. It is related to WDR. When the WDR function is deactivated, the picture is normal. As soon as I switch the WDR function back on, the flickering returns. This problem has already occurred with several cameras. The manufacturer claims that no such problems are known. The brand is LUPUS (rebranded Dahua).

Does anyone have a solution or similar experiences?

Thank you very much.

The solutions are to not use WDR (most of us here try to avoid it), add additional light, or get new cameras. But those images look fairly bad, so I am thinking the cameras are dying.

Hello @wittaj,

I have found that these problems may be related to certain serial numbers. The manufacturer has installed different hardware under the same item number. Old series with manual zoom (in this hardware the problems have occurred) and newer series with the engine zoom. The cameras with the engine zoom are still running without problems)
