I'm a Technical Support specialist for Montavue, our cameras and NVRs are manufactured by Dahua.
I don't normally post on online forums for help but we currently don't have any way to test this, a customer of ours has an NVR way out of warranty and its stuck in a bootloop and we want to try and help them as much as possible. I'm pretty sure the bootloader is okay as it will show our logo on the screen for a few minutes and then reboot again (I could be wrong about the bootloader).
A VERY talented employee of ours made a pretty in-depth guide for unbricking NVRs about 6 years ago but he's no longer with us.
I reformatted the instructions he had made to be a lot more readable but the information itself is exactly the same.
We have not tested this fully recently as we do not have a bricked or bootlooping NVR to test with but if there is anyone that has a bricked NVR that would like to try this or make any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated!
