Handhold me through data disk clone (what software, in particular?)

I'm a Mac guy but did manage to learn what I needed to set up BI on a Dell (win10) PC about 6 or 7 years ago. I then promptly forgot everything Windows-related since BI has been running smoothly since then.

But, since I just had to pull the machine apart to put in a new power supply (the fan started screaming at me), I figured I may as well take the opportunity to upgrade/replace the data disk (2TB HDD) with a new 4TB WD Purple disk since I don't know how much longer the old one will last. (The main disk is an SSD so hopefully I don't need to worry about that for a while).

But could someone give me the easiest route to clone the data disk so I can just plug the new one in and restart without having to mess with anything else?

I've got a dual-bay SATA docking station for the hardware part of the process, but what's the recommended tool/software for doing this? I'm really hoping that everything, including the drive name (F:) can be transferred over and it's literally a matter of plugging in the new disk once it's ready and closing everything back up.

If the data disk is just that "Data" no operating system files on it, then put the old disk in one of external bays and use windows explorer to copy the folders and files to the new drive, if you need detailed click this, click that instructions, perhaps someone else with more free time can create the multiple paragraphs that it would take to explain every single tiny step

You should be able to use the Copy disk wizard, and then if the free space of the bigger drive is not available, then you can "merge partitions" to recover the extra TB's of storage.

Cool, thanks. Is that MiniTool partition wizard a necessary part of the process? And is there a way to just specify that it's got the same drive name so I don't have to touch BI at all?
