I encouraged one of my friend not to purchase a big box store camera system instead to go with Dahua. He took my advice and order a Dahua setup from Andy which arrived quickly.
We installed the Dahua system then we configured the IVS and iDMSS but he was not getting any notification at all even we configured it exactly the same way that I configured my cameras and nvr at home. The only difference between our setup is that he not using memory card in his cameras while I have memory cards in mine.
I quickly noticed that even we have configured the IVS in each of the cameras, it was not showing up in the NVR configuration. I reset all cameras back to factory and this time I configured everything within NVR and the iDMSS started working right off the bat.
If you been configuring IVS on the camera and your iDMSS / gDMSS is not working, try wiping all the IVS configuration in the camera and re-configure it from the NVR instead. Then set up DMSS to get it notification from NVR not the cameras.
