Hi Guys,
I have a customer that purchased a 16ch Hikvision NVR. He didnt have the budget for 16 IP cams but purchased 8.
He currently had an analogue hikvision DVR that he asked if it is possible to put those cameras on the empty channels of the NVR.
Here is how it is done.
1. Setup your IP address on the analog DVr to match your range on the NVR.
2. On the camera menu of the NVR select an empty PoE ch.
3. Go to edit camera and select manual adding.
4. Enter the ip address of the DVR
5. Enter in the ch number of the DVR you would like to view on your NVR.
6. Enter in user name and pass work of the DVR.
7. Click on apply. Now that selected NVR channel will show the camera of your selected DVR ch.
You will not get IP quality but the benefit of this is you do not need an extra monitor or a kvm switch if the dvr is not connected to IVMS.
