I'm replacing my 3tb hd that has New and Stored files on it, with a WD purple 10tb. Not worried about keeping anything on the old drive.
Are there certain steps to take or is it as simple as shutting down the computer, unplug the old and plug in the new? Can I keep the drive name the same and just up the allocation to something like 9200gb?

Independent of BI, first you'll need to partition, format, and assign a letter to the drive. From there, as far as BI goes then, yes.

So not plug and play... yikes. :banghead: Nephew built my computer for BI. Does this stuff just pop up on the screen that I can click on? If not, then I might need a play-by-play. :smash:
