I come from an era when we fitted tubes in cameras and head bars in VTR's. How things have changed since the 70's. Yes there was CCTV back then, believe it or not.

What a bunch of young snots. I received my first electronics training in 1956 at the Naval Training Center on Treasure Island. Vacuum Tubes only. While I was at Treasure Island, RCA released the first transistor that was available to the public/hobbyists. It was available for 99 cents.
