Hello everyone

I am new to the forum and have purchased my first system

I have been doing some reading but can’t find a solution.

I have
2 x DS-2CD3145-IS anda DS7640 – E1/4P

When I connect my cameras to the NVR I can not see them inthe camera list, and I get an error cannotaccess network when I try and connect to the camera.

I think I am missing a step of setting up the cameras priorto connecting to the NVR, Is thiscorrect?

I do not have a POE switch, do I need one or can I accessthe cameras through the NVR?

welcome.

did you buy the cams & nvr from the same seller? the cam models numbers starting with 3 indicate they are chinese versions,
so they won't work with a non-chinese region NVR without some 'hacking' (which may or may not have been done by the seller)

have you tried connecting the cams to your network directly
to access them (using hikvision's SADP to get started)?

If you can post serial numbers an current system versions of the cams & nvr,
someone here (on the hikvision and/or NVR forum) should be able to help point you in the right direction...

Hi Pozzello

I did get them from the same seller,

I tried to connect to my network but do not have a POEswitch, so will pick one up today and give that a go I think that’s my issue.

well, the NVR has POE built in. try connecting your PC to one of the NVR cam-side ports, then run hikvision's SADP.
