Hi All,
I am about to embark on the ANPR installation journey and have a final hurdle to get over... whitelist/blacklist management. We will be installing a Hikvision 4a26fwd to capture the plate info linked to an I series NVR.
The system is being installed at the entrance of a busy holiday park. Authorised guests change in a daily basis so the whitelist will be updated in line with this.
The reservation system stores number plate info and we have spoken to the developers who are able to schedule an export in any format containing any data required.
The challenge is getting a way of updating the whitelist each night with minimal input from staff.
The ultimate aim is for any blacklisted or 'other' categorised plates to push an alert to management via the 4500 app or hikconnect, as well as keeping the lists up to date to allow video analytic searching etc.
We're exploring whether the data is passed to an access control system to do the checks and handle alarms or whether is stays within the NVR.
Are there any systems currently in use that are effective and similar in design?
Any tips/tricks will be gratefully received!
