Hi all - been lurking for quite a while in the forums and decided it's time to join up. Just purchased my first 2 cameras (Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z) from aliexpress and, once they arrive, I have the low level voltage installer ready to go. They will be running 8 Cat6 cables to different points around the perimeter of my house. I also will set up a dedicated PC for Blue Iris, at least 6 more cameras (after learning from/playing with the first 2), and figuring out how to backup everything on my Synology NAS. I'm sure I will have lots of questions but hopefully can give lots of answers after I get the hang of it. Look forward to interacting!
