Hi, Thank you for allowing me to join. I've been an ipcamera user for over 10 years and hope I can be useful to others.
My experience is with Foscam, Amcrest, Dericam, Tenvis, and SVBC.
All my cams are Ethernet and static IP with Wifi disabled.
I use a PFSense hardware firewall set to hand out IP to whatever is downstream.
I rarely look at manufacturer's manual, usually, all I need to do is find the cam's ip and I go from there,
unless it's from the esteemed Amcrest engineers who decided that nobody needs a web UI. (booo),
My priority is network security, and, again, please hit me with your concerns and maybe I can
be somewhat useful toward helping you get your cams going. I don't know everything, and that's why I'm here.
Happy videography, or whatever.
