Getting comfortable
Hello all,
Yep, when it comes to networking and software, I am slow. :hangs head:
I've looked at various threads, sites, etc.. and I'm confused.
My end goal is to put a newly purchased Trendnet managed switch into operation. Setting up several VLAN for various things, main computers, TV, cameras, etc..
What I'm not quite grasping, is how to set the managed switch VLAN, running a cat6 cable to another POE++ switch for the cameras, so that particular VLAN doesn't have access to the internet, except when using wireguard?
One site says one thing, another says something different, and I'm not very good at experimenting with this type of thing since it usually results in frustration.
If it makes a difference, I'm also using Untangle, which is now Arista. Though I think I'll be switching to Opnsense this year.
