Help me understand the difference between Face Detection and Face Recognition

YMMV with an newer NVR. I know older ones it was clearly a choice. Same as you camera. Most cameras can run either/or, though some newer models can run Acupic with limited VMD

I moved some cameras around to different channels and did a reboot. For the hell of it tried to add FD by recorder on my PTZ and no error. Pics/clips pull up in AI search no problem. I’m not touching anything else ha ha
