I have recently completed and movies into a new build and during the build process, I bought the CCTV system... Hikvision 5MP CCTV Security Surveillance System 4K DVR 4CH H.265+ HIK 5 MP 4 Channel 2.8MM Camera Outdoor Night Vision KIT UHIKVISION 4MP Turbo HD DVR 4/8/16CH 4MP HD 4K 4in1 HDTVI/AHD/CVI/CVBS/IP HDMI UK (Full Kit + 4 Cameras + NO HDD) - I then upped the box to one with 8 inputs as I also bought Hikvision DS-HD1 3MP Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Video Doorbell Camera.

I am not well outside the time limit to return the item... I have wiring running to the cams via Cat9... running to my hose internal network. But they are analog cams...

I have two choices:
1. Get the power to the cams via the cat9 (need advice on the correct way to achieve this)
2. replace the cameras with suitable HikVision Digital cams

I need advice on which option.

On option, one would be to advise RE power and run that through the network

on option2, which on the surface would appear simpler, I would need advice on digital cameras that would fit the same round base (Camera Deep Base Junction Cable Box For Dome/Bullet Cameras Waterproof UK).

Any advice on the most appropriate solution would be appreciated.

I would use a cctv video balun (bnc to cat5) on both ends.
like this one:

I don't know why the OP ran cat9 on something that 80% of those devices are 100Mb, 15% 10Mb and 5% 1Gb connections.

The only reason why a lot of people recommend cat 6 is because of the core in them that prevents them from twisting and kinking.

CAT-9 ?
Was this bulk cable that was pulled in and then connectors crimped on or is it pre-made 'patch' type cables?

P.S. - Welcome to IPCT !

That's not bulk cable and everything there says Cat6. But that's beside the point of your question. Unless you got a great deal and/or can't return, I'd go with POE cams myself. Otherwise as above, use the baluns. Not clear which junction boxes you have to say what they'd fit.

Which was why I was wondering because if it's stranded patch cable, even if CAT-6, the jacket is likely not rated for use in-wall, attics, floors, crawl spaces and between floors such as CMR (Riser) is. And too many patch cables are CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum).
