Hi all, I have been using BI for many years, right now I have BI5 release 5.9.9.10 x64 and it has been working fine till today, the app was working perfectly on my iPhone and now only connects when I am home on wifi. When not on WiFi it won't connect. All my WAN and LAN ip's match but I notice when I run the BI remote access wizard from the web server link from inside the software that page fails, it says my WAN address is a verified IP but in the box bellow its says the verified server UNREACHABLE.

Any help appreciated and info you need to help you help me please ask.

Thanks, Adam

Hi, thanks for the post. The port is set correctly and passed the test with BI. Thanks, Adam

I’m guessing the update changed an important setting somewhere. It could also be a coincidence where a security certificate expired.

I’m away from my computer for another week, so I am just guessing from memory, but under web server, there are some important settings that could screw you up if they defaulted. The bind exclusively setting needs to be unchecked, if I remember correctly.

Hopefully someone who’s not 3000 miles from his computer can chime in.

Hi, it was not from any update, I've been using the same release number for over a month, that's not it. Thanks, hoping someone can help. Adam

No vpn? I’m just thinking since your BI setup hasn’t changed and you’ve checked your settings, maybe we should be looking at the means of remote connection. Things like expired vpn keys. Any possibility something in between the server and the app on your phone might be awry?

Insure a Windows Update did not change your Network Interface's properties form from "private" to "public."

Hi, where would I see that please? Thanks, Adam
Go to "search", enter "network", find "network status", click on "properties", see if set as "public", if so, click on on "private" and "OK" or "save"

Hi, my computer is set to private but I noticed something which may help someone help me: So the computer with BI has an ip address ending in .54, when I go in to the Xfinity app and set port forwarding for that specific device I see it set port forwarding for an ip address ending in .53 which makes NO sense. I am on the phone with Xfinity but they have the worst technical support EVER. I am hoping someone can help. Thanks, Adam
