help with camera event settings

Hello - I'm attempting to configure a IPC-B52IR-Z12E-S2 for LPR.

I have the camera exposure settings pretty good for day and night, thank you to the posts revealing their shutter and other settings.

I am now attempting to set up the AI detection to have the camera trigger on a "Car" so my NVR can analyze and take action.
I do not want any and all motion to be triggered, just "Motor Vehicle".

When I got to "Smart Motion" and attempt to enable, I get this error below.
I cannot find "smart plan", and even though the message indicates it will work... there is an error saving and "Smart Motion" never gets enabled.

2 questions for the crowd.

-- Am I going / thinking about "just trigger motion on cars" logic correctly with this camera?
- if so... where the heck is smart plan!

A couple of things.

The Smart Plan is one of the AI rules like AcuPick, Face Recognition, etc. You need to go to the AI tab and turn those off if you want to use SMD.

At night, since the image is black, the AI of the camera/NVR will not recognize a car, so you have to go with just motion detection.

That was it! I had to turn off "AcuPick".

Ah, noted about the night time motion... that's fair.
