Hi,

I bough this camera on Amazon :

Aiboostpro Model TY-P12-15

I think this is supposed to be the manual : PTZ WiFi IP Camera User Manual - Manuals+

So i have downloaded the app Tuya.

Scanning the bar code on the camera does not work

Joining it to my 2.4g wifi just says no devices found

Pressing the reset button 3 times or holding in for 2,6 or 10 seconds makes no difference, it only resets the camera.

I cannot get the camera to go into any kind of pairing mode, some manuals i find suggests the camera should flash an indicator rapidly, or say camera is ready to setup, i get nothing of the sort.

Only a voice message when its booted up, "Welcome to your smart camera" or something along those lines

I have queried the camera when connected by wire with nmap.

And it says these ports are used :

Discovered open port 23/tcp on 192.168.0.19
Discovered open port 90/tcp on 192.168.0.19
Discovered open port 8088/tcp on 192.168.0.19
Discovered open port 6668/tcp on 192.168.0.19

I cannot connect with a browser or vlc to any of the above ports

Telnet however works , i managed to find the login details in the net :

root / hkipc2016

cat /proc/cpuinfo ;

~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo
system type : Swan
machine : Unknown
processor : 0
cpu model : Ingenic Xburst V0.0 FPU V0.0
BogoMIPS : 1001.88
wait instruction : yes
microsecond timers : no
tlb_entries : 32
extra interrupt vector : yes
hardware watchpoint : yes, count: 1, address/irw mask: [0x0fff]
isa : mips32r1
ASEs implemented :
shadow register sets : 1
kscratch registers : 7

VCED exceptions : not available
VCEI exceptions : not available

Hardware : isvp
Serial : 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000

Anyone have any ideas how i can make this camera work for me?

What i want to do is :

1 connect it to my wifi
2 enable onvif and get the correct url for adding it to my camera server (Zoneminder)
3 Set a static IP address

Any help would be very appreciated!

Best Regards
Patric

Looking over the Amazon reviews, it would seem you are definitely not alone in your struggle to connect via WiFi.

Honestly, is it too late to return it? It doesn't sound like you or anyone else who bought one is having a great user experience unfortunately.

If not, then check out the reviews, and find the fellow who struggled but finally managed to connect it to his WiFi. He may be able to help you sort it out - he states he finally connected his once he had tried all combinations, or something to that effect .. whatever that means.

Good luck!
