I have got the same problem like TELLO in the mentioned thread.
Setup recording to a SMB/CIFS share is not possible and the cam does not accept original firmware files from Hikvision.
Obviously cctvdiscover deleted the firmware files from the site and therefore im looking for the firmware based on 5.2.0 or higher.
Due to pure chance i downloaded the original V5.0.2 last year and so ive got the possibility (keyword unbrick) to do some tests with the TFTP based update and different firmwares.
I already pm'ed TELLO and craigspc for help.
