Hik DT616X-V2/P16 nvr won't allow me to erase cams and won't reload previous cams

Hikvision DT616X-V2/P16 nvr - Lost my passwords and I was trying to add in some more cameras - Had to do a complete factory reset of the NVR

Even before I did the complete reset, I was unable to delete any cameras on the camera setup page. Also, I was unable to add any more cameras as the unit stated all slots were full, although I only had 8 cameras installed. This forced my decision to do the reset but I still can not get the camera locations to delete and now I only have 1 working camera after the deed of a factory reset.

Is there another option that I am missing for a total wipe out of everything on this NVR? I would really like to get this back to a complete wipe out and start fresh. I used the Hikvision password reset tool to get everything back up and running..........or so I hoped

So I contatcted Hikvsion support on this problem. I got the following response

The serial number(s) that have been provided for the device(s) is either NOT from the North American Region, products purchased outside of our Region, purchased from unauthorized distributor(s) (Such as eBay, or Amazon), or simply not Hikvision products.

Our support is limited to products purchased through authorized distributors, which includes firmware and software which are also region-specific. For this reason, you will need to refer to your original place of purchase for support. If you are contacting us outside of the United States or Canada, refer to our International Site and select the Region/Language at the upper right corner to contact the Support Center closest to you.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to wipe this thing clean?? I did purchase it from Ebay.........
