I have a Hikvision 7608 NVR
I have a combination of hikvision and 3rd party cameras directly attached, 6 in total (whilst i remember setting this up about 3 yrs and ago and am still scared from the process) that were all working well until the other day when 1 of the 3rd party camera feeds died
I therefore bought a reolink 5mp camera (I have other 3rd party 5mp cameras operational) - I've bench tested the reolink and can not get it to work on the NVR for love nor money.
Reolink ip 192.168.0.171
NVR IP 192.198.0.56
NVR internal ipv4 address 192.168.254.1
I have plugged the Reolink into NVR as stock - no joy
I have changed the Reolink to 192.168.254.20 and the IP camera gateway to 192.168.254.1 (using the ipcam GUI)
No Joy (sits in 'connecting' mode')
I have switched between Manual and Plug and Play and also the combinations of those and hikvision/Onvif protocols.. no joy (sits in 'connecting' mode')
I have played around with the password (reolink default is blank)
No Joy (sits in 'connecting' mode')
.. if I try the 'custom adding' I get 'no more ip cameras allowed
any suggestions
