As per my introduction thread, I've just set up Blue Iris and a Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2-LSU/SL.
Initially, I hadn't been able to get the camera's built-in security alarms (LED + audio warning message) to trigger on detecting a motion event. Accessing the camera's built-in web interface, the required setting I think I'd missed was to "draw" an area in the motion detection screen. Once that was done - a nice audible warning message and the LED turns on.
Very impressed. It's my first stab at home security and my first camera (other than a Eugy floodlight cam which I bought on sale as a quick fix while I researched something more robust).
I've got the camera on a VLAN with no access to the internet or anything else on any network except for the Blue Iris NVR.
