Hi folks, did some searching for I posted, I'm fairly new here. I work in the LE field and we're testing IP cameras in various environments, specifically researching portability related concepts.

We recently acquired the HIKVISION DS-2CD2442FWD-IW (2.8mm/POE) cameras. They did not come with a power cord, which was odd. My intent is to run them off of a deep cycle car battery for short periods of time.
I see there are 12v DC to POE injectors out there. I had considered using POE to get the battery box further away from the camera.

I'm still trying to determine if my RV50 modem from Feeney Wireless will allow me to run POE out of the modem to power the camera and transmit the video (double duty if you will).

I say all that to ask this, does anyone know of a barrel connector to go from a 12v DC battery to the back of the camera to leave me the Ethernet port available to plug into my RV50? That way I can power both the modem and the camera at the same time, leaving the video feed to go from the camera via CAT6a patch cable to the modem, and transmitted back to my location elsewhere?

I really appreciate any advice on this.
