Hikvision DS-2DE4225IW-DE audio-in stops working

I've just installed 4 x DS-2DE4225IW-DE and all working well... I've added a POE splitter to one of them and small powered mic on the audio input. All works well after a reboot and for a decent chunk of time - but randomly the audio stops working. Only using Hik-Connect to view - no recording. Not sure why it might just stop. To get it going again all is needed is to to alter a setting on the audio config web page and click save then it works again.

I'm a couple of revisions down from latest but didn't see anything specific in the release notes about this.

Just wondering if anyone has had similar?

The Hik-Connect app has been know to 'modify' settings.
You could try Hikvision's iVMS-4500 app instead of Hik-Connect. The same credentials should work. iVMS-4500 doesn't inadvertently modify the settings in my experience.

Regarding firmware - What are the cameras currently on?
As you mentioned, this isn't specific to your issue but some bugs have been fixed in V5.6.15_Build191211. Don't upgrade to the latest version unless your cameras are on v5.6.11 or newer!

Thanks Stewart. Visiting the site today to finish off and tidy up so will flash the firmwares whilst I’m there. Cameras shipped with 5.6.13.

Just an update to say that the newer firmware sorted it - mic input has been solid since then :-)

Just have weirdness now on an identical camera near this one, with identical PoE splitter that won't power up when on the splitter so that I can put another inline mic with it like the other one. Swapped the splitter for another but no joy. Just weird.
