A couple of months ago, I purchased the most highly recommended outdoor microphone on this forum (which is Microseven M7WP-MIC) directly from Microseven.
It took forever to ship from US to Australia, and the package was deemed to be lost during transit.
PayPal eventually refunded me.
It was such a hassle that I didn't have the patience to retry the order, and I decided to look elsewhere.
I found the following SUNBA MIC-700 model at the time:
Now I am finding that this mic is absolutely horrendous - no manual gain control, and voices are completely distorted.
Bird noises come out very high pitched, and pickup distance is more like 1 - 2m at most.

Noise Cancellation: OFF
Mic and Speaker Volume: 100%
I have tried out other codec including the default G.711A, and different volume settings with very marginal improvements in the sound quality.
So, now it is time to shop for another outdoor microphone that might be actually decent.
Does anyone here have any experience with the following Hikvision IP66 rated mic: DS-2FP3021-OW?
The best Dahua alternative is DH-HAP320-V. However, hardly any of my local Dahua dealers stock this product.
I wanted to hear your experience with the Hikvision DS-2FP3021-OW Hi-Fi Pickup Microphone if you are currently using this product with your IPC.
