Hello everyone, after some searching around the site I have decided to make a thread because I haven't been able to find anything on it. So I have the above listed NVR and I am trying to setup some Hikvision cameras on it. The manual states if they are Hikvision they should be plug and play. I have two US versions of the DS- 2CD2732F-IS and have four Chinese (brown box) DS-2cd2732f-iS. The NVR is a US one. For some reason, the US cameras display on the camera setup list but they do not get assigned to a particular channel. The Chinese ones on the other hand work perfectly Plug and play. Below is a picture of what displays when the US cameras are connected. I've tried to edit the cameras IP address to match the one that is labeled on the box and I also use the default password but I keep getting an error that it is the incorrect password. Any insight form you guys would be greatly appreciated as I am very new to this.

Thank you all in advance

As you can see the US camera is the "yellow" listed one. Not sure what to do from here to get it assigned and connected to the NVR...

I just got my 7604 with DHl and I got about 5 min experience with it =D .. and I got the same problem first. but What you can or should do is to change the "local network adress" of the NVR so it should pop up 192.168.1.xxx
at the moment if you check in your settings it is set to 192.168.254.xxx .

change that and it will work. at least it did for me

I actually do not find it when I log in with the web interface, ( I prob do not know where to look. But directly on the NVR it is under Configuration ->network . and it is called Local NIC .

that is the one you want to change to match to whatever you got on the camera to make it easy.

just tried out a few more settings on the system now and the only thing that might not work ( depending on what ip adress you got on the normal LAN-port ( I got 192.168.1.xxx).. normallay it is no problem. but it seems to confuse the setting: "Virtual Host option". just fyi. but probably useless info =D

Ok i put 192.168.2.xxx on the local nic and that sorted out the problem. .. It doesn't work for me with any kind of plug and play to connect the cameras so I just do it manually. It's not like I will reconnect them more than a few times or never hopefully anyway.

Yes first but that was bad. Put it on a different one. It was better for the nvr to deal with

And just manually configure your cameras to that ipv4 range. Starting with.192.168.2.2 for the first camera. If you can't make it work with some plug and play. I couldn't

You set up the network at the NVR by choosing Menu -> "System Config" -> Network. As someone else noted, you are not using the same network settings. My NVR has a static IP so dhcp box is unchecked.

To access the camera from browser:

for the default pw, I had problems with this also. The cameras work fine as long as I access them at the NVR. To access from the browser I was not able to find the default pw. The solution was the camera reset button. Open up the camera and on the circuitboard is a little button. It's hard to see until you know where to look. Press the button and hold it in for about 30 sec, then (while still holding down the button) unplug the camera power (you really need 3 hands to do this . Wait 30 seconds and then plug in again (still holding the button). After another 30 seconds release the button. This means that you've done all the above without releasing the button, held down for 90 seconds. It probably doesn't need all that time but that works for me. After this, the camera UI will have the same login as the NVR.

To access from browser, I type in NVR-IP-ADDR:6500x where 'x' is the port number on back of NVR. So, if your NVR has an IP of 192.168.1.10 and you have a camera plugged into port 1 you would type in 192.168.1.10:65001 and you will get camera UI login screen.

It took me about 2 weeks to figure out all the menu possibilities on NVR and I'm still not totally comfortable with it.
Good luck.

Where may I ask did you buy the NVR from ALI and any link would be appreciated as I am looking NVR route.

So a little update... So after trying everything you guys mentioned I still wasn't able to get an image up. I dug through other sites and discovered the problem maybe that the firmware was out dated and not compatible with the latest version the camera had. I updated the firmware and it looks to have worked. I'll continue to update this thread. I still have yet to try and figure out how to connect a Vivotek FE8174 and an ACTi B97 PTZ. If anyone has any experience with setting up either of these on a Hikvision NVR, your advice is very much welcome.
