I am using iVms/4500 on iPhone and added my HikVision 2CD2142 using 'IP domain' (IP address and port 8000). Works well except from getting no alarm push notifications. If I start live view or so the alarm can be seen in the app but I never get a notification. My feeling is that when using IP domain the app is not connected to the camera all the time like it seems to be when using HikConnect. This means that using IP domain would be quite useless, at least for my usecase. Or is there some setting needed in the camera to make this work?
I am stuck between hikConnect (where I/O alarm is not supported(!)) and IP domain where alarms don't seem to be pushed at all. Any ideas?
