Hikvision M-Series or AcuSense NVR?

After 3.5 years it's time to replace my 7616 K series NVR at my lake house. Connected to the NVR currently we have:
  • (14) 4K 8MP Darkfighter (turrets and bullets)
  • (2) 4MP (one turret one bullet)
I specifically want to know if I should purchase the DS-7716NI-M4/16P (M-Series) or the DS-7716NXI-I4/16P/S (AcuSense). I see the benefit of the M series is the increased bandwidth and future-readiness for even higher res cameras (8K). I see the AcuSense would only give me 4 channels of analytics. I can think of about 4 or 5 cameras that it would be nice to have these analytics on (boat dock, front yard, driveway areas). However, I also have a ring flood light camera at the boat dock and the driveway for the sole purpose of getting notified when a person is detected (this was before AcuSense existed). My understanding is the AcuSense NVR would give me the ability for 4channels of person detection on my existing cameras (which are not acusense capable cameras), where as the M-Series NVR would not. On the other hand, is it correct to assume that if I go with the M series, I could eventually replace some of my cameras with AcuSense cameras, and then I would get the vehicle/person detection features at that point? Or is it that to use AcuSense features you must have an AcuSense NVR AND AcuSense cameras? I think that's the big thing I need an answer on to make my decision.

Thanks in advance!
Ryan
