Hikvision NVR - email notifications - no picture

Hey all,

I recently purchased a HIkvision NVR (7604 NI E1/4P, software version 3.3.4) and 4 Hik IP cameras ( 4MP EXIR).
So far I have set up everything I want, except the capability to email me pictures.
When I get an email, it just tells me what camera captured the trigger, but it doesn't send a picture, even though that option is ticked.

What am I missing?

Google and other providers of free email services have stopped SSL support for email clients recently as of June 16th. It may be related to your problem. The gmail failure topic is discussed extensively in two other threads. Please read the threads of the forum.

Have youbtried turning the nvr off then on again? Not reboot but shut down then flick the switch to off then wait a few second and on again?
I tried that and the image now came back in the email.
I noticed it happens when you try to change the image interval time in the email setting.
