Hikvision ptz recommendation

Hey there,

I have been offered one of this 2 cams DS-2DE7432IW-AE(S5) and DS-2DE7430IW-AE. Is the 7432 newer version of 7430? I see 7432 has higher optical zoom but it has smaller image sensor compared to 7430, also i dont know what the S5 stands for. Anybody got idea? thanx
 
depends on your requirements. are you going to use the higher optical zoom due to placement of the camera? If you're not likely to get anything out of the higher zoom (and reduced field of vision) then IMO the larger sensor is better as you will get better night images.

i've never been able to decipher hikvision model numbers. just when i think i have it figured out, they change it.
 
i wont really need higher optical zoom but the image sensor might be newer on S5? I really have no idea. Its for the same price so i thought someone might know this models. thanx
