HikvisionDS-7604NI-SE/P with 4MP Hikvision issue

Hi,

My mother-in-law has a Hikvision DS-7604NI-SE/P with the latest firmware : V3.0.22 build 170621
I have added aH ikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I Turret cam also with the latest firmware:V5.5.5 build 180111
However I cannot get the NVR to record (or display) any resolution above 1920*1080P for this camera.
There are only 2 record options, 1080P and 720P.
My other dome cam,DS-2CD2132-I,is able to record in 2048*1536. What can I do?

Both devices are normal and upgradable. No hacked firmware

Try going into the 2342 web GUI and set the recording resolution there,
Then go back to the nvr web GUI and see if it changes.
Also search on this forum for that model nvr there are a few posts about that one.

Hi, If i set the resolution Higher in the cam the NVR comes with the error stream not supported

Are you sure that is the latest FW for the NVR? I have a DS-7604NI-E1 and that is V3.4.98 build 171121, I have R6 cams on the 180111 and they run 2688*1520

assuming that's for the NVR, pretty much says that you can't support more than 1 camera at that hires setting, as you're finding, tho could run both at 1080P. Interesting they say 8@CIF tho for a 4-channel recorder...

DS-2CD2342WD-I Main stream resolutions shown as below:




76NI-SE NVR cannot support 4MP, so there are two options left: 1920*1080 and 1280*720.
