Hooking up 7608 question

I am looking to purchase a DS7608 NVR w/ 8ports POE. However, I dont want the NVR to terminate where the wires will be terminating. I will be installing a POE switch where the wires are terminating. My question is, do I plug both the internal LAN AND Internal POE port to my network to get the cameras to record to the NVR?

you can run all camera wires to switch, run one wire from switch to NVR and then connect the NVR to your LAN.
