How do I get smart events to record to the SD card?

I have a Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IWG-E 4MP Outdoor PTZ Camera, 25x Zoom, 50m IR with AI Tracking.

I'm trying to set up region entrance detection and in the arming schedule there is an option "Recording Linkage" which I have ticked. I wasn't able to get this to work for ages and eventually in Event and Detection settings there is an option to enable motion detect. When I enabled that recordings started to work. However now I receive duplicate events, one for the region entrance detection and one for motion detection.

If I don't tick motion detect then alerts work region entrance detection and i can see the ptz working, it just won't record.

Is record linkage meant to tell the camera to record the event?

Plus for the recording schedule you set the EVENT

Oh wow that would probably be it! I spent hours trying to get it to record and now you post that screenshot it's so easy to see lol. I can't test it until the morning but I will and I'll come back and let you know. Thanks!

Don't forget as the first had said to setup in Schedule to Event.. I changed Monday on mine back to what it was setup as default. To capture to card events you will want to change your schedule from full time to event like the rest of my days are in the picture.. Found under Storage Tab
