How to add a camera that requires 24v to a built-in POE NVR?

I have a new Dahua OEM16 channel w/16 built in Poe switch and want to add a Dahua ptz that requires 24v to power. How would I wire this using a 24v Poe+ injector?
Should I plug in the injector into the built in switch?

I dont know the answer but I do see the NVR spec says
PoE:Max 25.5w for single port, 130w in total, and max power consumption on the PTZ is 22w

The specs you linked state "DC 12V/3A, PoE+(802.3at) ", no mention of "24v".

I'd get a good PoE+(802.3at) injector, power it (the PTZ) over some CAT-5e Ethernet up to 150 ft. or 23 AWG CAT-6 if over 150 ft.
Run the LAN side of the injector (DATA IN) right into the NVR's POE port.

So "yes'" on your question "...Should I plug in the injector into the built in switch? " BUT.... it's a PoE+(802.3at) injector, not 24v.

Unless someone else has a better recommendation, this one here is highly rated.

the important part of the cam specs is "13W, 22W (IR on, Heater on)".

it'll probably be fine as-is on your 802.3af-compliant NVR.

I will give it a try. I presupposed that Poe+ meant 24 v . I guess I was wrong.

just to be clear, the cam requires PoE+ (802.3at -- more than 15W) ONLY if/when using the heater
(your model may not even have it, and you probably don't need it in Mexico, unless you're at extreme altitude...)

without the heater, regular PoE (802.3af) will be fine.

You were right. Works a treat plugged into the built-in Poe on the NVR. All ptz functions work without issue . No lag. Very happy camper, thanks again!
