so all of my cameras are plugged to the NVR directly and I am planning to add 2 cameras that are plugged into a POE switch that is on the same subnet as the LAN port of the NVR. These 2 cameras are also Lorex and were bought together with other cameras along with the NVR in a package so there is no compatibility issue.
I followed the steps in this url LNR Series: Connecting IP cameras through a network | LOREX Support but never got it work. First of all the NVR can not auto discover the cameras so I had to manually add the cameras by IPs however it did not seem to work. From the webUI of the cameras they use TCP 35000. So I use the same port when I added the cameras. For the channel I use a channel that currently is not being used ( It is a 16 channel NVR and I am only using 6 of them right now, in my case I choose channel 10 as it is not being used). Has anyone done similar setup and can share your experience?
