How to playback Blue Iris videos?

This is probably a silly question, but is there a way to view recordings on my BI Server from another computer that's on the same LAN network?

Typically I access the BI server via RDP, however, the viewing videos can be a bit choppy from a remote session.

What's the recommended approach?

Have you looked into using UI3 to view the BI videos via your LAN?

FYI, UI3 is BI's built-in web server. When on your LAN, access it using http://Your-BI-server-LAN-IP:BI-server-port/ui3.htm , a Chromium-based browser is recommended. For example, mine is

http://192.168.200.250:81/ui3.htm

You should log into the BI console first (if you haven't already done so) and create a user with password; those are the credentials you'll be asked for when you log into UI3.
