Hi,

I received my IPC-T5442T-ZE and wanted to test it. I used the configtool to initialize it, that seems to work, but when using the browser I get no connection.
I already set the IP to trsuted sites, but it did not work.

Do you have an idea?

best regards
Thomas

The first question I have is what is the IP address of the camera and what is the IP address of your computer? The camera and the computer both need to be on the same subnet, IE 192.168.1.xxx to be able to communicate with each other.

Hi,

the IP of IPC is 192.168.1.XXX and of my PC 192.168.178.XXX.
How can I fix it?

Use the config tool to change the IP address of the camera to match your computer so it is in the 192.168.178.xxx subnet. DO not use an address that is in the DHCP range of your router or is being used by any other device on your network.

Alternately, change the IP address of your computer, temporarily, to the 192.168.1.xxx subnet. You will the be able to access the camera using the web GUI to change the IP address of the camera to the 192.168.178.xxx subnet. As soon as you do that you will lose communications with the camera until you change your computers' address back to the 192.168.178.xxx subnet.

OK, I will try. I tried to change the IP of the IPC before, then the ConfigTool showed a "Password Error" as Result

You need to configure the password prior to changing the IP address.

I rarely use the config tool. I prefer to access the web GUI because it provides ALL settings during initial setup. If you're stuck, you can always take off the cover for the SD card, two phillips screws, and hold the reset button down for about 20 seconds. That will reset the camera, totally, back to factory defaults (as if you never touched it) and you can configure it that way using the GUI and the IP of 192.168.1.108.

Thank you so much. It worked :)

It is pretty easy when you knie how to do it.

That was step 1.
In the Text days I want to figure out how to do the whole Setup.

Thanks and best regards
