I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2020F-I network camera. I need to capture still images and save them into a folder in the hard disk of my pc.
How can i do that?

Most IP cams have embedded software (a webGUI) that you open a browser (oftentimes IE because of a required ActiveX component), put in the IP address of the cam, hit enter, then log in with username and password.

From there, most have a 'Live' view page with an icon of a camera that when clicked on, creates a snapshot. Mine launches my image editor, yours may store the image elsewhere (see cam your cam's config and path).

Page 30 here may shed some light (pun intended).

I have Dahua and Amcrest (rebranded Dahua) cams but all brands are very similar in this feature.
