Just found this new member board, figured I'd pop in and say hi. I've recently started a thread about these new hootoo outdoor wifi PTZ cameras I found on amazon for a hundred bucks but I think I may send them back in favor of just more fixed cameras. I found these ones on aliexpress that seem decent enough:

So I'm discovering... I have two Foscam FI990P, one is very close to the wifi router so its somewhat reliable, the other was so bad I had to put a TP-LINK ethernet over power adaptor to get ethernet out to it.

In a previous house I hardwired everything, but the roof pitch was so low I couldnt easily go through the attic so I ran 3/4" conduit underneatch the eaves to connect them all. The house I'm in now has a much bigger attic so I'm thinking I might try to go that route eventually, maybe if winter ever comes again... :worried:
