Thought I would post.
I was on this site YEARS ago , But guess the account is gone now.

I am a Youtuber (nothing to do with cameras "right now") & I have been Running a Security camera shop in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada for 20 years.

We started off with Cantonk/Longse brand cameras (bitvision app) for over 15 years and just last year swapped over to UNV as our main Type we use.
Due to the fact the company was "playing games" During the chip shortage... and we got a bunch of cameras that had issues they could not solve.

UNV Uniview , Is SO much better , Yes the cost is a little more but WELL worth it!
,As I am Manitoba’s Only Authorized UNV Uniview Distributor / Dealer
For them. and i find they are the best for the price point!

My personal house... Well I have over 35 Cameras, And about 6 PTZ cameras.
I get to Test Each model when they come out LOL!

Looking forward to spending a little more time on this site.
as even after 20 years in the industry I am always looking for more info and willing to help.


I am not going to say the name of the company due to site Rules I am expecting to be in place.
And will not be trying to sell anything on this site.
but will share an image. (Yes needs an update LOL!)

Well We never had an online Website with online shopping until 4 months ago LOL! (Still working on that)
But still a lot of local installers buy from us.

Our Company was opened in 1987 , We brought the internet to Winnipeg. (We use to be a ISP Dial up days)
Ya.. It's hard to keep up with the big box stores and amazon.
But our main thing is we have a group of 8 installers, And some pretty decent contracts that keep us going.

I myself have not worked much with Dahua in the last 5 years. and i am sure a lot has changed.
We have a good amount of Dahua equipment instore but mostly BNC Equipment.
And to be honest not many of my customers ask about dahua equipment
So I cannot really comment much about them.

But over all , With Customer Calls and Questions 100%%% UNV has worked out a LOT better for us.

Two years ago a rep from Dahua reached out online & with a visit to our store.
He brought a demo and could not get it to work...(The Ai Settings)
The person they sent did not really understand the questions I was asking him..

So decided to go with UNV as our sales rep is awesome. LOL!
