I cant get IPC-T54IR-AS-S3 to work with Human, Vehicle, Package, etc detection with my Lorex N864

I use Lorex app for iPhone. The only function through the app is “motion”. But my cheaper similar Lorex camera allow the human, vehicle, etc detection.

I also can’t adjust the varifocal zoom through the phone app.

Any tips?

On Prosumer gear there are far too many settings to be done by app. You have to log into the camera to make setting changes

Sure, its easier and better to login to the NVR Web GUI but you can do it either way

This is directly off the NVR. It doesnt show any motion settings. The app has more than this. I will try the web interface soon

By the NVR, he means going to the camera list and clicking the e browser - that will get you into the camera GUI. You are in the settings for the camera from the NVR and that isn't where you want to be.

Do I access that screen from my computer via the Lorex Cloud program or from my NVR?

The picture I posted is from a monitor plugged directly into the NVR

Neither way - no the cloud program or the NVR via HDMI and monitor.

Instead open up Internet Explorer (yeah we know LOL) and type in the IP address of the NVR.

It will then come up with the login page and type in the username and password of your NVR and then navigate to the camera list page and then access the camera via the e browser.

How to enable native Internet Explorer in Windows 10 and 11:
  1. Open Notepad:
  2. Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
  3. CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
  4. Save as OpenIE.vbs
  5. Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
  6. Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer
  7. Download any of the plug-in the NVR or camera asks for.

Lorex...in my opinion is very good for stores that have 24hr lighting. I've done work for several that like that their employees to know the system over 15 different stores. They are good syatems limited by their firmware with much of the same hardware higher end dahua systes have.

We need to see the full image of that last pic showing the assigned channel and IP#

Could be your Lorex NVR won't allow that connection ...

Looks right, thx.

The problem I see in the window that I assume popped up when you clicked the IE button, is the IP address - 127.0.0.1 is the loopback address for the computer

All of mine show something like
I believe the problem has something to do with your network config.

How is the NVR attached to your network?
Show a pic of your network settings on the NVR Network tab (gateway etc)

A couple of things I noticed, I cant reach the IP website for the NVR UI unless I first request the weblink from the Lorex Cloud PC app first. The last 5 digits after the : of the IP address are not the same each time. I can copy and past that new IP address into any browser and it will work. will be next time

Anyway, i have attached some pics

You shouldnt be going through the Lorex cloud.

You should be able to reach your NVR on your LAN directly in a browser by typing its assigned IP address 192.168.1.96

Thanks. That IP adress worked. I logged into the camera. I dont see any vehicle, animals, or package options. I do realize there are alot of settings to go through. I will look deeper when I have time.

Thank you everybody

Turn off Acupick

It may reboot

Then on that screen choose IVS only. For now.
Each of those are a different type of AI and for the most part you need to choose 1.
IVS allows you to set tripwires and intrusion boxes and other stuff, and should show filters such as Human/vehicle/animals

YOu may have a use for one of the other AI functions, but best to start with the basics until you sort out the basics
