I have the Elk M1 for several years now

I have the Elk M1 for several years now, no problems with the alarm at all, I also used it to open and close my chicken coop door in the morning and evenings. Saved me from going outside to do it manually.

Does anyone else have the Elk M1 ?

I have a 16 camera Surveillance system and would like to see how it will work with a video system?

Hi Saltster. ELK M1 was my first alarm (more than 10 years ago) to include home automation features, not found in any alarm at that time. I only setup my ELK with UPB lights for triggering events, based on sensor detection. I eventually switched to a less expensive GE Networx series, since it use the same legendary GE xtal sensors. Do you have a touchscreen connected to your ELK? Not sure what you like to control with your surveillance system? Today, it could be better to use an inexpensive home automation server (Vera, Zipato, others), and keep the alarm separated for the protection task.
